About the Role

The Student Researcher Program at Google offers an opportunity for students to engage in innovative research projects across various teams, including Google DeepMind, Google Research, and Google Cloud. Eligibility Criteria

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program in Computer Science, Linguistics, Statistics, Biostatistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics, or Natural Sciences.
  • Experience in at least one area of computer science such as Natural Language Understanding, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Algorithmic Optimization, Quantum Information Science, Data Science, or Software Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a full-time degree program and returning to studies after the internship.
  • Experience contributing to research communities or publications in major conferences or journals.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C/C++.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on research projects that address complex, large-scale challenges.
  • Apply advanced computing techniques to develop innovative solutions.
  • Work alongside experts to create breakthrough technologies with global impact.

Program Details

Projects vary in duration and location based on team and student requirements. Candidates must be located in India for the full duration of the engagement. The program fosters academic collaborations by aligning student projects with Google's priorities in scientific advancement.
