Role Overview
We are seeking a Software Quality IT Engineer to manage and enhance integrated test environments for our market-leading Operational Technology (OT) products. This role focuses on improving and verifying utility-like test environments using modern industry technologies, ensuring product quality and compliance with established standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Own, manage, and enhance multiple large-scale and simulated integrated testing environments.
- Design and configure hardware, networking, operating systems, and third-party software in test environments.
- Implement cybersecurity best practices in line with company and regulatory requirements.
- Perform agile testing and verification of system components.
- Collaborate with internal technical teams and software developers to drive quality improvements.
- Automate system deployment and verification processes.
- Contribute to enhancing software and system usability for end-users.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Networking, System Administration, Network Administration, or related field.
- 0-3 years of work experience.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Perl, or Shell scripting.
- Proficiency in Linux and Windows environments.
- Experience in system administration and understanding of networking concepts (LANs, protocols, web technologies).
- Experience with virtual environments (VMWare/vSphere, Hyper-V).
Preferred Skills
- Experience with IT hardware/software products (Cisco, Dell, HP).
- Database administration experience (MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Networking or OS certifications.
- Cybersecurity certifications.
- Experience with OS hardening (Windows, Linux).
