About the Role
Amazon is seeking passionate and talented Software Development Engineer I (SDE I) candidates to join its University Talent Acquisition program. As part of Amazon's technology team, you will work on innovative solutions that impact millions of customers worldwide. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and launch innovative products and services.
- Develop scalable and fault-tolerant systems for distributed computing environments.
- Create solutions to run large-scale predictions with high speed and efficiency.
- Build distributed storage, indexing, and query systems that are cost-effective and easy to maintain.
- Design and implement solutions for broadly defined problems.
- Work in an agile development environment to deliver high-quality software.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals including object-oriented design, algorithms, data structures, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, Java, or Perl.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous technical internship experience.
- Experience with distributed systems, multi-tier architectures, algorithms, and relational databases.
- Knowledge of optimization mathematics including linear and nonlinear programming.
- Ability to articulate technical challenges and solutions effectively.
- Strong abstract thinking and problem-solving skills.
