About the Role
Amazon is seeking talented and driven Software Development Engineer I (SDE I) candidates to join its innovative engineering teams. As part of Amazon’s University Talent Acquisition program, you will work on cutting-edge technologies to solve complex challenges that impact millions of customers worldwide. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver innovative products and services.
- Develop and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems.
- Design and implement solutions for large-scale data processing and storage.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code for defined and undefined problems.
- Work in an agile environment ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals including object-oriented design, algorithms, data structures, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C/C++, Python, Java, or Perl.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous technical internship experience.
- Hands-on experience with distributed systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
- Knowledge of optimization techniques including linear and nonlinear programming.
- Ability to articulate technical challenges and solutions effectively.
- Comfortable working with ambiguous or undefined problems.
