Position Overview
The Service Desk L1 role is focused on providing remote technical assistance to customers, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and resolving issues at the first point of contact. This position requires strong technical knowledge, effective communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for technical support via phone, chat, and email.
- Troubleshoot and configure desktop hardware and peripherals.
- Install and troubleshoot operating systems (Windows) and software applications.
- Document tickets and resolutions accurately in real-time.
- Perform remote diagnostics and guide customers through issue resolution.
- Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support teams.
- Maintain SLA adherence for all support tasks.
- Provide accurate information on IT products and services.
- Identify and suggest improvements to support procedures and knowledge base articles.
Requirements
- 0–6 months of experience in IT support.
- BSc (IT/Computer), B.Tech/BE, BCA, M.Tech, MCA, or MSc (Computer) degree.
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of computer systems, mobile devices, and basic technical troubleshooting.
- Willingness to work in 24/7 rotational shifts.
