Overview

The Securities & Derivatives Analyst 2 is an intermediate-level position responsible for processing orders and transactions received from trading desks and branch offices. The role works closely with the Operations - Transaction Services team to support the clearing, settlement, and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Process securities transactions, provide analytical input to traders, and assist in the review of derivative products.
  • Identify and resolve settlement issues related to securities and derivatives, and recommend process improvements.
  • Review moderately complex reports to meet management requirements, support control activities, and assist in launching product services.
  • Monitor operational errors and recommend solutions to minimize risk using an understanding of procedural requirements.
  • Escalate transaction processing issues to the appropriate teams and collaborate to resolve them.
  • Design and analyze moderately complex operational reports in alignment with leadership guidelines.
  • Support internal control activities and assist with the rollout of new products and services.
  • Ensure processes follow audit standards and control policies.
  • Assess risk when making business decisions, protect the firm's reputation, and safeguard clients and assets by complying with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic understanding of treasury products, accounting principles, and regulatory policies.
  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks or projects in a high-risk environment.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced operational setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of macros.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
