About the Role
The SDET Intern will join the Finance Technology Quality Engineering team that supports Finance and Order to Cash (OTC) applications. In this internship, you will help ensure the quality, stability, and reliability of technology solutions through testing, analysis, and improvement activities.
The role offers hands on exposure to QA practices, automation concepts, and Agile workflows. You will collaborate with senior QA engineers, developers, and business stakeholders while learning how to validate application functionality and support quality processes.
The Team
You will work within a high performing Finance Technology Quality Engineering group that partners with technology teams and business stakeholders. The team operates in a collaborative Agile environment and works across global locations to deliver reliable and efficient technology solutions.
Responsibilities and Impact
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using standard tools and frameworks for functional and regression testing.
- Perform manual testing including exploratory, regression, and ad hoc testing to verify system functionality and detect defects.
- Build and improve automation test frameworks to enhance reliability, efficiency, and maintainability.
- Design or maintain automated test cases and frameworks for application testing.
- Work closely with development teams to identify and address testing requirements.
- Partner with QA team members to explore Gen AI use cases in quality engineering.
- Carry out performance and load testing to verify scalability and system reliability.
- Debug and troubleshoot automation scripts and application performance issues.
- Ensure data integrity and application security through comprehensive testing.
- Stay updated with emerging tools and technologies in test automation and quality engineering.
- Document findings and share testing knowledge and best practices with team members.
Basic Required Qualifications
- Any graduate.
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals including OOP, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
- Programming knowledge in Python or another object oriented language.
- Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
- Understanding of QA methodologies.
- Awareness of Agile development practices.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- ISTQB certification is preferred.
- Exposure to Gen AI pilot projects is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and interest in software quality.
- Self motivated learner with the ability to work independently and in teams.
