Team Overview
The DET FinApps Engineering team manages a portfolio of financial applications, including Source-to-Pay (S2P), Spend Management (including Budgetforce), Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), and Investor Management. The team evolves solutions built on the Force.com platform and across a technology landscape including Coupa, Workday, and MuleSoft. We manage the supplier portal and the purchasing request solution My Procurement Center. The team is responsible for delivering comprehensive solutions, including development, managing deployment pipelines, and ensuring a consistent delivery cadence.
What You'll Do
- Integration Development: Design, develop, and deploy integration solutions using MuleSoft (Anypoint Platform) to connect Salesforce with ERP, procurement, and financial systems across the Source-to-Pay landscape.
- Salesforce Development: Build and maintain Salesforce customizations using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), REST/SOAP APIs, and MCP servers, to support Finance and Procurement workflows.
- End-to-End Ownership: Own your work from design through delivery, contributing to new feature builds, bug fixes, and integration reliability improvements across a predictable release cadence.
- AI & Innovation: Build and integrate agentic AI-powered capabilities (Agentforce, Slackbot skills) into core Finance and Procurement workflows, including supplier onboarding, invoice processing, and purchase order automation.
- Quality & Automation: Write unit tests, integration tests, and automated regression suites to ensure high-quality, production-ready integrations and Salesforce customizations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Senior Engineers, QE, PM, and business stakeholders in an Agile environment, participating in design reviews, code reviews, and sprint ceremonies.
- Growth: Deepen your expertise in MuleSoft and Salesforce platform best practices through mentorship, hands-on delivery, and structured learning paths (Trailhead, MuleSoft certifications).
What We're Looking For
- Education: Strong background in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related engineering discipline (Degree required).
- Experience: 0-2 years of software engineering or integration development experience (new grads with internship or professional coding experience welcome).
- Technical Proficiency: Fluency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and RESTful API design. Exposure to one or more of: Mulesoft Development, Java, JavaScript, Python, APEX, LWC, SQL, Postman.
- Integration Fundamentals: Basic understanding of API-led connectivity, data transformation (JSON/XML), and middleware/iPaaS concepts.
- Core Skills: Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC), quality engineering principles, and Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Soft Skills: A self-starter with a growth mindset, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a collaborative team-player attitude.
Preferred Qualifications & "Nice to Haves"
- MuleSoft Ecosystem: Hands-on exposure to MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Anypoint Studio, API Manager, Runtime Manager, DataWeave). MuleSoft Developer certification or Anypoint Platform fundamentals training is a plus.
- Salesforce Ecosystem: Exposure to Salesforce development (Apex, LWC, SOQL, Flow), Salesforce certifications, or Trailhead Ranger status.
- Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with Finance or Procurement processes, such as purchase orders, supplier management, invoice matching, or ERP integrations.
- AI & Modern Tooling: Experience using LLM coding assistants (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Gemini) to accelerate development and improve code quality.
- Operational Excellence: Exposure to monitoring, logging, and telemetry tools to support integration health and reliability.
