This role is designed for early to mid-career professionals who are eager to learn accessibility technologies and customer support practices. You will work alongside experienced accessibility engineers and gain exposure to the Salesforce platform.
The position requires working from Salesforce hub locations in Bangalore or Hyderabad with in-office presence three days per week. Teams operate in rotating shifts across AMER, EMEA, and APAC hours based on business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer accessibility cases with urgency, empathy, and technical accuracy.
- Investigate accessibility issues using assistive technologies such as JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver.
- Create accessibility demonstrations and test environments within the Salesforce ecosystem.
- Lead customer calls and communicate technical findings clearly to both customers and internal teams.
- Act as a liaison between customers and product teams by escalating validated accessibility issues.
- Build expertise in Salesforce product functionality to assist customers with complex accessibility challenges.
- Develop knowledge base content and support documentation for customers and internal teams.
- Share learnings and best practices with teammates.
- Promote accessible design and development practices across teams and customer interactions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong interest in accessibility and inclusive technology experiences.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with the ability to modify front-end code.
- Experience using assistive technologies, especially screen readers.
- Understanding of WCAG 2.2, ARIA 1.2, and WAI-APG accessibility standards.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively.
- Analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple support cases.
- Background in customer support, technical consulting, or a related environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with assistive technologies such as NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack, ZoomText, or Dragon NaturallySpeaking.
- Knowledge of accessibility testing tools including axe-core, Deque Axe, IBM Equal Access Checker, or Lighthouse.
- Experience with Salesforce or CRM platforms.
- Salesforce certifications or accessibility certifications such as IAAP WAS or DHS Trusted Tester.
- Background in accessibility auditing, accessible UI development, or accessibility consulting.
