About the Opportunity
Sagent is looking for a motivated and tech‑savvy IT Support Engineer – Trainee to join the IT service desk team. The role focuses on delivering reliable technical assistance to customers and internal teams while maintaining stable system operations.
The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a basic understanding of devices such as smartphones, laptops, monitors, CPUs, and ISP connectivity. Candidates who are quick learners and eager to begin their careers in IT support are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as part of the IT service desk and provide technical support using strong computer knowledge.
- Perform basic troubleshooting for Windows-based devices and related systems.
- Handle support tickets and ensure timely follow-up and resolution.
- Use and support tools such as email platforms, MS Office applications, and web browsers.
- Maintain a stable and well-performing system environment.
- Apply technical competencies to manage and optimize assigned systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in any discipline, preferably BE or BTech in IT, Computer Science, or Electronics and Communication.
- Interest in working within the IT support domain.
- Willingness to work in a 24/7 rotational on-site shift.
- Strong interest in technology and continuous learning.
- Good analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to adapt to new tools, technologies, and operational procedures.
