About the Role

S&P Global Market Intelligence is looking for a Product Support Engineer to join the Commercial Enterprise team in Hyderabad. The team works closely with Datafeed Application Specialists and Sales teams to deliver technical support to clients during deployment and troubleshooting of Enterprise Solutions. This role also involves assessing client technical environments that may affect product performance.

The position acts as a link between end users and enterprise products. By combining product expertise with an understanding of client requirements, the Product Support Engineer helps customers achieve accurate and efficient outcomes while using S&P Global tools.

What You Will Gain

• Work with a global enterprise product support team focused on delivering strong client success.
• Collaborate with Data Feed Application Specialists and Sales teams supporting enterprise products such as Xpressfeed and related services.
• Develop hands-on experience with databases and modern technologies including SQL Server Analysis Services, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
• Build expertise by working with enterprise-level products and expanding your technical skill set.

Responsibilities

• Act as a product specialist for Distribution Solutions and deliver detailed technical assistance to clients.
• Support deployment activities and troubleshoot issues in real time.
• Develop strong knowledge of the product from both content and delivery perspectives and assist with pre and post sales engagements.
• Assist API clients from S&P Global Market Intelligence and provide a high-quality support experience.
• Introduce ideas that improve automation and efficiency within support processes.
• Create complex SQL queries using MS SQL and Oracle to work with enterprise data, including query optimization and performance tuning.
• Continuously research evolving product offerings and technologies.
• Evaluate client technical environments to identify factors that may affect product performance.
• Participate in testing and user acceptance activities for new implementations and updates to Distribution Solutions applications.
• Maintain local infrastructure including database servers (Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server) and virtual machines.

Basic Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Master’s degree in Finance or Business Analytics along with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT or Computer-related disciplines.
• Understanding of DBMS concepts.
• Knowledge of at least one programming language such as C#, Java, or .NET.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Experience in troubleshooting and problem resolution with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and support rotational shifts when required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of relational database systems such as MS SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of financial statements and capital markets.
