The EDO Sustainable1 Data Operations team at S&P Global is an international, project driven group focused on sustainability data management. The team manages one of the most comprehensive corporate sustainability datasets and supports global investors, corporates, and stakeholders with ESG insights. Through a collaborative and agile environment, the team works on innovation in sustainability indices and benchmarking methodologies.

The Impact

As part of S&P Global’s ESG team, you will help develop and maintain accurate, complete, and timely datasets while considering the needs of internal and external stakeholders worldwide. The role supports the integrity and depth of the dataset by using both internal tools and public research sources such as government and regulatory documents, stock exchanges, CSR reports, industry journals, analyst reports, and other information databases.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and maintain accurate, complete, and timely datasets as part of the Environmental Data team.
• Work with team members and management on various initiatives related to Trucost and ESG operations.
• Collect, standardize, and validate information on business relations, competitors, products, and services from company reports and other public sources.
• Meet predefined individual and team targets while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Operate within defined parameters and supervision to ensure data quality and performance standards.
• Stay updated with knowledge of content sets and build industry understanding related to reporting standards and trends.
• Provide ideas for improving data collection methods and product enhancements.
• Troubleshoot data or process issues and support the team when required.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration or Environmental Science.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and interpretive abilities.
• Ability to multitask and collaborate within a team while meeting deadlines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills along with solid computer proficiency.
• Familiarity with internet research and Microsoft Office tools.
• ESG related certifications are considered an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work under tight timelines.
• Curious and investigative mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Interest in research, analytical writing, and industry data analysis.
• Comfort interacting with stakeholders across different levels.
• Knowledge of Advanced Excel, Power BI, SQL, and database management.
