About the Role
This position sits within the Public Ownership operations group and focuses on maintaining the quality of the Public Ownership dataset. The role supports data validation, identifies inconsistencies, and ensures accurate reporting of ownership information for publicly listed companies worldwide.
The Public Ownership domain involves collecting, mapping, and maintaining shareholding data sourced from filings such as annual reports and exchange notifications. The data is then mapped to the respective owners to maintain accurate global ownership records.
The Team
The Quality group in the Public Ownership domain is responsible for quality assurance and identifying inconsistencies in data. The team works on validating and maintaining shareholding information across global markets while ensuring accuracy and reliability in the dataset.
What You Will Do
Quality Assurance
- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and checks to confirm compliance with established quality standards.
- Monitor processes and datasets to detect and address quality-related issues.
Quality Control
- Analyze data samples to ensure they meet required specifications and standards.
- Identify defects and recommend preventive or corrective actions.
- Work with production teams to maintain consistency and reliability in outputs.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvement initiatives.
- Perform root cause analysis for recurring quality concerns and suggest preventive solutions.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, audits, and quality checks.
- Create reports highlighting performance metrics, trends, and improvement areas.
Collaboration
- Communicate actively with stakeholders within the ownership vertical.
- Work closely with internal teams to resolve quality-related issues quickly.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Finance or Business, or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to manage routine operational tasks with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical thinking and logical reasoning.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SQL.
- Attention to detail and the ability to identify data inconsistencies.
- Ability to analyze quality results and present insights to stakeholders.
- Familiarity with quality standards such as Six Sigma or Lean methodologies is an added advantage.

- Reduction in data defects or error rates.
- Improvement in client satisfaction scores.
- Completion of quality audits and corrective actions within timelines.
- Implementation of process improvement initiatives.
