About the Role

The EDO Sustainable1 Data Operations team at S&P Global is an international group focused on sustainability data management. The team maintains one of the most comprehensive corporate sustainability datasets, supporting investors, corporations, and stakeholders with ESG insights. Work is carried out in a collaborative and agile environment that contributes to sustainability indices and benchmarking methods used by global clients.

The Impact

As part of S&P Global’s ESG team, you will help develop and maintain accurate, complete, and timely datasets while considering the needs of global business divisions. The role supports data integrity and coverage by using internal tools and public research sources such as government documents, regulatory filings, stock exchange disclosures, CSR reports, industry publications, and analyst reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and deliver accurate and timely environmental datasets aligned with internal and external business needs.
  • Work with team members and management on initiatives related to Trucost and ESG data operations.
  • Collect, standardize, and validate information about business relationships, competitors, and products or services using company reports and public disclosures.
  • Meet predefined individual and team targets while maintaining quality standards.
  • Operate within established processes and guidelines while ensuring consistent performance.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and reporting standards related to sustainability and corporate disclosures.
  • Suggest improvements for data collection methods and enhancements to existing products.
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide operational support to the team when required.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration or Environmental Science.
  • Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical abilities with good interpretive skills.
  • Ability to multitask and collaborate in a team-oriented environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Good written and verbal communication along with solid computer skills.
  • Experience in internet research and working with Microsoft Office tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification related to ESG or sustainability reporting is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Advanced Excel, Power BI, SQL, and database management.
  • Ability to manage priorities and deliver work within tight deadlines.
  • Interest in research, attention to detail, and investigative thinking.
  • Comfortable interacting with stakeholders and handling issues professionally.
