About the Role

Role: Data Analyst

This position is part of the Private Equity and Advisory Profiles Team, which maintains and updates profiles of Private Equity and Venture Capital firms. The team provides research, content, and analytics related to global public and private capital markets for investment banks, investment managers, and alternative investment firms.

The team also builds relationships with Private Equity firms to gather insights on investments, exits, and strategies. This work is supported by continuous monitoring of global industry publications, websites, and news sources covering public and private investment markets.

The Impact

This role contributes to the Private Equity and Venture Capital dataset by collecting and validating information. The position involves collaboration with peers and stakeholders and participation in process improvement initiatives.

It offers exposure to the PE/VC domain and provides an opportunity to build a strong understanding of how these firms operate while applying that knowledge in daily responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and extract data, then enter it into internal tools following defined guidelines.
• Understand dataset structures, workflows, and maintain strong knowledge of internal work tools.
• Meet individual and team performance targets while ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Provide suggestions for improved data collection methods and potential product enhancements.
• Work on assigned projects and complete them within timelines while maintaining quality standards.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide operational support to team members.
• Assist in improving workflows and departmental processes.
• Develop technical expertise within the team.

What We’re Looking For

• Knowledge of the Chinese language.
• MBA or M.Com with a strong academic background.
• Familiarity with secondary research sources.
• Working knowledge of MS Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Background in finance or related fields is preferred.
• Ability to conduct structured online research and handle multiple tasks in a team environment.
• Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities with close attention to detail.
• Knowledge of database or automation tools is considered an advantage.
• Flexibility to work across different shifts.
