About the Role
The Associate in Client Support works closely with users of Capital IQ Solutions to deliver a high-quality customer experience. The position begins with structured training covering capital markets, the S&P Capital IQ and Capital IQ Pro platforms, and the Excel plug-in, followed by practical learning through daily client interactions.
This role requires a clear understanding of S&P Global Market Intelligence products, technical capabilities, and the needs of diverse client groups. It provides a strong starting point for careers that involve direct interaction with clients across multiple business functions.
The Team
The Capital Markets Client Services team supports customers using data, analytics, and research to make informed investment and business decisions. Team members work in a dynamic and multicultural environment, collaborating with colleagues across departments while continuously developing analytical and product expertise.
The Impact
Client Services Associates act as the first point of contact for decision-makers across sectors such as investment banking, private equity, and investment management. The role focuses on helping clients improve their workflows by efficiently using S&P Global Market Intelligence tools and data resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Support: Assist clients and internal teams including Sales, Product, and Technical Support through phone, email, and web chat to help them navigate and extract data from S&P Global Market Intelligence platforms.
- Client Experience: Maintain strong client engagement by understanding their challenges and helping them effectively use SPGMI products.
- Product Guidance and Training: Over time, conduct product demonstrations and provide tailored guidance so clients can maximize the value of available tools and services.
Role Expectations
- Ability to join a new hire training class scheduled for April 2026.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, economic trends, and core finance concepts.
- Capability to communicate clearly in written and verbal formats when assisting clients.
- Analytical thinking and the ability to troubleshoot client issues while managing multiple tasks.
- Comfort working with cross‑functional teams and collaborating with internal stakeholders.
- Effective time management and organizational ability to handle priorities and deadlines.
