About the Role

The Financial Modeling Group delivers specialized services for advanced analytical tools to ensure customers receive a tailored experience while using our products. This global team focuses on onboarding and customer adoption for Excel add-ins, Office Tools products, screening solutions, platform customization, and proprietary data capabilities.

Team members include former investment professionals, CFA charterholders, and MBA graduates who work to understand client objectives and improve workflows. As part of the Financial Modeling Group, you will develop proficiency in at least two of the group’s functional specialties.

Application Associates act as corporate finance and Excel modeling specialists, consulting with customers on Excel add-in solutions such as CIQ and CIQ Pro. They support clients in implementing data within their financial models, covering areas such as valuation, ownership structures, estimates, and charts. The role also involves converting financial models from competing platforms and building or maintaining hundreds of templates within the CIQ and CIQ Pro Excel Template Library.

The Impact

The Financial Modeling Group serves as one of the primary interaction points with customers, representing the organization’s products and expertise. On a typical day you may build financial models, develop screens and presentations, respond to client queries, and demonstrate product capabilities.

You will collaborate with commercial teams to support business growth, work with product teams on enhancements, and assist customer services teams with training and support activities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop financial models using Microsoft Office tools for internal and external clients to support analysis and workflows.
  • Create quantitative models, screens, and presentations for customers using the company’s product suite.
  • Work with clients across regions including the USA, EMEA, and APAC to address their requirements.
  • Respond to research requests from customers through calls, emails, and meetings.
  • Provide suggestions related to product usability, data quality, and presentation improvements.
  • Collaborate with product experts on initiatives that enhance subject matter expertise.
  • Participate in team initiatives and knowledge sharing to support continuous learning.

What We’re Looking For

  • Master’s degree in Finance or Business.
  • Strong understanding of business fundamentals, financial statements, and investments.
  • Knowledge of capital and commodity markets.
  • Ability to conduct research and financial analysis.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is preferred.
