About the Role

This position is part of S&P Global’s Private Markets Cluster, which focuses on publishing information related to private markets. The analyst works as an internal subject matter contributor, gaining exposure to capturing equity and debt funding rounds across alternative asset classes. The role also involves collaborating with global teams to understand industry dynamics and detailed attributes of funding rounds.
The Team
The Private Market Rounds of Funding team is a global and diverse group focused on delivering high-quality data to S&P clients. The team emphasizes the “3Es”: education on the funding ecosystem, encouragement of creative thinking and idea sharing, and empowerment for long-term career development. The work environment is fast paced and values open communication and strong performance.
Responsibilities
- Data Collection and Verification: Support daily collection and validation of data related to equity and debt funding rounds across various asset classes. Information is gathered from regulatory filings, primary and secondary research, websites, and news sources.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct detailed research to obtain relevant information from multiple sources and contribute to improving data quality.
- Daily Performance Reporting: Maintain accurate daily records of completed tasks using designated reporting tools.
- Collaborative Communication: Respond promptly to communication from colleagues, supervisors, and managers to maintain an open and collaborative workflow.
- Technology Adaptability: Show initiative in learning new technologies and tools that improve data management and reporting processes.
Basic Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities for team collaboration.
- Any graduate degree, preferably in communications, finance, or a related discipline.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including night shifts when required.
