The Security Analyst works within the test security team and is responsible for incident response, investigations, and forensic analysis related to security issues impacting Pearson VUE’s global testing network. The role involves handling fraud investigations and supporting test security operations.
Responsibilities
Incident Response, Investigation and Analysis
- Maintain response plans for different types of test security alerts and incidents.
- Investigate, document, track, and remediate test security alerts and incidents.
- Handle security concerns escalated from internal departments.
- Coordinate with program coordinators, managers, and technical support teams during response activities.
- Identify and preserve evidence related to security incidents and investigations.
- Ensure proper chain of custody, retention, and deletion procedures for security data.
- Analyze test security data, reports, and forensic artifacts.
- Conduct investigative research using online resources and databases.
- Maintain detailed documentation of investigations, findings, and response actions.
- Work with test sponsors on joint investigations when required.
- Prepare incident notifications and closure reports for management and sponsors.
- Coordinate corrective actions, enforcement actions, and appeals involving candidates and test centers.
Security Operations
- Review and improve security processes and procedures.
- Recommend system enhancements and tools to support security operations.
- Facilitate operational security meetings with program managers and test sponsors.
- Support the rollout of new or enhanced security services.
- Identify and escalate operational issues or roadblocks where necessary.
- Contribute to information security and data protection awareness initiatives.
- Participate in additional security projects and initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- Research or investigative experience in fraud investigation, litigation support, loss prevention, or information security is preferred.
- Experience using Microsoft Office tools.
- Professional investigative or security certifications such as CPI, CISSP, or CISM are considered an advantage.

- Strong analytical and investigative abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
- Attention to documentation and reporting accuracy.
- Adaptability and willingness to work in a changing environment.
