Advanced Associate (OnVUE Technical Support Coordinator)

This role is part of the Pearson operations team supporting candidates and clients during the certification testing process. The OnVUE Technical Support team acts as an escalation point for global testing candidates who face technical challenges during the exam process. As an Advanced Associate, you will focus on real-time troubleshooting as well as investigating issues through the Pearson VUE case management system.

The position is candidate facing and requires direct interaction with test takers to provide guidance and reassurance while walking them through basic troubleshooting steps. The team places strong emphasis on empathy, clear communication, and delivering consistent support to ensure a positive testing experience.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting

  • Respond to candidate issues by analyzing the situation and taking appropriate steps to resolve problems using internal processes and critical thinking.
  • Apply established concepts and operational guidelines while supporting candidates.
  • Use the internal case management system to manage tasks and determine effective solutions while following client policies and internal procedures.
  • Collect and document relevant information to identify trends and share insights with internal stakeholders.
  • Follow through on commitments, prioritize tasks effectively, and raise potential solutions for operational barriers.

Customer Service Delivery

  • Understand the expectations of test takers and adapt communication style to meet the needs of each interaction.
  • Provide clear written and verbal guidance to candidates while troubleshooting or explaining testing procedures and policies.
  • Anticipate candidate concerns and resolve issues that may impact service quality.
  • Use active listening to understand problems, ask relevant questions, and offer supportive guidance during stressful situations.
  • Research, analyze, interpret, and document candidate interactions accurately.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Basic technical troubleshooting experience preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and effective time management.
  • Ability to adapt to changing schedules and work assigned shifts, including evenings or weekends depending on business needs.
