About the Role
OSTTRA, a joint venture between S&P Global and CME Group, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join the Technical Operations Center (TOC) team as an Intern TOC Engineer (Monitoring). This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in a mission-critical 24x7 support environment, ideal for fresh graduates looking to build a career in IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuous Monitoring: Oversee internal and client-facing applications, infrastructure, and services using enterprise monitoring tools like Grafana and Monolith.
- Alert Triage: Identify, categorize, and perform initial analysis of alerts and incidents.
- Incident Logging: Document all events and incidents in Jira with complete details for escalation.
- Escalation Management: Follow SOPs to escalate issues to relevant L2/L3 teams or SMEs within defined SLAs.
- Documentation: Maintain and update runbooks and knowledge base materials.
- Shift Handoffs: Communicate ongoing issues, pending tasks, and recent activities during shift changes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Fresh graduate or final-year student in a technical discipline (B.Tech, MCA, or equivalent).
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible 24x7 shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Technical Aptitude: Interest in IT infrastructure, networking, and application support.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Discipline: Attention to detail and adherence to operational procedures.
- Preferred: Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix command line or TCP/IP networking concepts.
