Design Engineer

Microchip Technology Inc. is looking for a motivated and creative Design Engineer to join its engineering team in Chennai. The role focuses on digital, analog, or mixed signal integrated circuit design, development, and verification.

This position is suited for recent graduates and early career professionals who are passionate about semiconductor design and innovation. You will contribute to a global Touch Controller Silicon development team in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and verify IPs and Touch Controller products.
• Participate in design reviews and maintain design documentation.
• Follow and enhance development methodologies and quality processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and global engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 0 to 3 years of experience in digital or mixed signal design.
• Strong understanding of digital or mixed signal design concepts.
• Hands-on experience with System Verilog for design and verification.
• Familiarity with EDA design flows and associated tools.
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems is preferred.
• Experience with Synopsys and/or Cadence CAD tools is an advantage.
• Programming exposure in TCL, Python, Perl, C, or C++ is preferred.
