Job Description
We are looking for a Software Development Engineer I (Data) who will:
- Create prototypes and proofs-of-concept using Java and Python.
- Seamlessly convert designs into scalable, production-ready code.
- Work hands-on with cloud platforms, Spark, and Scala/PySpark.
- Contribute to building and managing data lakes.
- Collaborate with engineers to develop long-term strategies for scalable systems.
- Debug and resolve issues efficiently while incorporating feedback into product improvements.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and implement relevant solutions.
What You’ll Do:
- Convert design specifications into functional code with high efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop and manage prototypes for scalable data solutions using Java and Python.
- Hands-on development and optimization in Spark and Scala/PySpark.
- Work with cloud platforms to ensure smooth data processing and storage.
- Contribute to the design and maintenance of data lakes for optimal performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of bugs and deliver feature updates.
- Monitor and maintain the quality and consistency of the data engineering process.
What You’ll Need:
- B.Tech degree, preferably from premier institutions.
- Excellent coding skills with expertise in converting designs into functional code.
- Ability to create prototypes and proofs-of-concept for iterative development.
- Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms, including space and time complexities.
- Proficiency in Java and Python with hands-on experience in development.
- Experience with Spark, Scala, and PySpark.
- Practical working experience with cloud platforms.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
