As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will gain practical exposure to the fundamentals of design, development, and maintenance of diagnostic imaging components and products. The role involves working closely with engineering teams to understand system architecture and contribute to subsystem and component development within a medical imaging environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and integration of modules or subsystems according to architectural and design specifications.
  • Ensure that design work aligns with higher-level system architecture and functional requirements.
  • Assist in developing designs with built-in safety, reliability, and quality considerations.
  • Help ensure solutions meet defined performance, quality, and cost targets.
  • Prepare and maintain design documentation in accordance with established engineering standards.
  • Contribute to the consistency and integration of modular components so that they meet overall product specifications.
  • Support compliance with applicable product certification and regulatory requirements.

Team

You will be part of the Ultrasound R&D team under the Precision Diagnosis business cluster at the Philips Healthcare Innovation Centre (HIC) in Pune. The HIC plays an important role in Philips' global diagnostic imaging strategy and supports the development of advanced healthcare technologies.
