Analyst - Big Data Analytics & Engineering

This Gurgaon-based role is a techno-functional position that combines technical expertise with business understanding. The Analyst will develop and maintain advanced analytics tools and AI-driven solutions that support pre-sales and customer success teams in quantifying the value of Mastercard services and improving business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Value Quantification and Tool Development
- Develop tools and solutions that quantify the value of Mastercard services during pre-sales and customer success activities.
- Enable internal teams to clearly communicate service value and business impact to customers.
Technical and Data Analytics
- Use Python, R, and SQL to perform data analysis, modelling, and tool development.
- Manage and analyze large datasets using SQL and other database management systems.
- Conduct statistical analysis to identify trends, correlations, and insights that guide strategic decisions.
- Develop advanced analytics tools such as ROI calculators and value dashboards.
Business Intelligence and Reporting
- Create dashboards and reports using business intelligence platforms such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Generate actionable insights and provide data-backed recommendations that support strategic planning.
AI and Analytics Integration
- Apply AI and advanced analytics techniques to strengthen pre-sales and customer success tools.
- Deliver data-driven insights that improve customer engagement and business performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with Sales, Customer Success, Pricing, Product, Consulting, and other internal teams to understand business requirements.
- Present insights and analytical outputs through dashboards and presentations to internal stakeholders and leadership.
Insight Generation and Process Optimization
- Translate data findings into recommendations that improve pre-sales strategies and customer engagement.
- Support continuous optimization of tools and analytics processes to deliver measurable value.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Experience with data analytics techniques for analyzing complex datasets.
- Ability to build dashboards and reporting solutions using business intelligence tools.
- Knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts used to enhance analytical tools.
- Strong proficiency in Excel including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization.
- Experience working with databases and querying large datasets using SQL.
- Understanding of web-based platforms for developing end-to-end analytical solutions.
- Ability to perform statistical analysis and derive insights that support decision-making.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline. Advanced degrees or certifications in analytics, data science, or AI/ML are preferred.
Corporate Security Responsibility
- Follow Mastercard security policies and operational practices.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of company information.
- Report any suspected information security incidents or violations.
- Complete mandatory security training programs as required.
