LSEG Hiring Junior Data Scientist | Freshers | 10LPA

Job Description:
We are looking for a Junior Data Scientist to join our ESG Specialist team. The team is responsible for building, maintaining, and enhancing data systems while driving automation and process efficiency within ESG Operations. The role involves working in an agile environment on automation projects, process simplification, and advanced data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deploy machine learning and deep learning models to address complex problems
• Conduct statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights
• Apply data science skills to build systematic checks on textual and Boolean data to identify errors or missing values
• Manage data extraction, reporting, and data analysis
• Use SQL to query and manage large datasets
• Implement web scraping techniques to gather relevant data from multiple sources
• Work with large language models (LLMs) for natural language processing tasks
• Create reports using Python visualization libraries and Microsoft Power BI

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in machine learning, deep learning, and statistical analysis
• Strong expertise in Python and SQL for data manipulation
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform
• Knowledge of web scraping frameworks and tools
• Familiarity with NLP and LLMs (e.g., BERT, GPT)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
• Ability to create visual reports using Matplotlib, Seaborn, and Power BI

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of LSEG proprietary automation systems (LEAD, DEMING)
• Understanding of ESG content and marketplace
• Awareness of Six Sigma principles

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related fields
• Data Science Certification is an added advantage
• Candidates from other fields with strong programming expertise in Python, SQL, VBA are also eligible
