Job Description

The Listed Derivatives and Clearing (LD&C) business provides agency execution and clearing services for a wide range of exchange traded derivatives including futures and options. The team works with hedge funds, institutional investors, and internal trading desks to deliver execution, clearing, and settlement services.

The LD&C team supports business expansion into new markets, enhances existing services, and strengthens relationships with both existing and new clients. The role involves working closely with global teams to develop analytical tools and support trading related initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the global LD&C product team on new market initiatives such as exchange contracts, exchange memberships, and rollout of new exchanges.
  • Support the development of strategic execution and clearing platforms and related product offerings.
  • Analyze client trading strategies and key risk drivers to identify trends and generate insights.
  • Develop analytical tools and products primarily using Python and SQL.
  • Design, develop, and deploy dashboards using Tableau for data visualization.
  • Deliver projects within defined timelines while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and suggest relevant improvements.
  • Work with management to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Conduct data mining to generate actionable insights for the business.
  • Partner with Sales, Trading, Business Management, and other teams to implement revenue, risk, and cost initiatives.
  • Perform client level quantitative and trend analysis to improve execution and business performance.
  • Assist in monitoring business risk and P&L while identifying ideas that can enhance returns.

Skills and Experience

  • Understanding of macroeconomic factors, listed derivatives markets, and derivative products.
  • Strong quantitative background with knowledge of statistics or mathematics.
  • Experience interpreting data and producing actionable insights.
  • Ability to build scripts using Python and big data frameworks for data preparation and loading.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and data modeling techniques.
  • Familiarity with database platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or ClickHouse.
  • Exposure to visualization tools including Tableau, Alteryx, QlikView, or Pentaho.
