Intel is offering internship roles across multiple technical domains including Architecture, AI/ML, Digital, Analog, Computer Architecture, Embedded, Graphics, and Firmware.
The hardware intern participates in research, definition, design, verification, and documentation for System on Chip (SoC) development. Responsibilities include contributing to logic design and integration of cell libraries, functional units, and subsystems into complete SoC chip designs.
The role involves Register Transfer Level (RTL) coding and simulation for SoCs, along with supporting the development of complex integrated circuit layouts. Interns may work across the SoC design flow from high level design through synthesis, place and route, timing analysis, and power optimization to create manufacturing ready design databases.
You may also help initiate and support new design concepts and product ideas. Interns are expected to quickly learn and contribute in areas such as RTL development, verification and validation, structural or physical design, analog design, firmware, or embedded systems.
Software interns contribute to multidisciplinary research and collaborate closely with hardware, layout, and design teams. Work may involve designing and developing productivity tools, compilers, assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems that support platform development.
The role includes understanding user and system requirements, advising hardware designers on system characteristics such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output needs, and developing solutions using established software engineering processes.
Interns may research technical trends and develop prototype solutions, including AI software, open source libraries, and models. The position also involves integrating and debugging software across the stack for specific products, platforms, or technologies throughout the product lifecycle, including pre silicon development, power on, and post silicon stages.
