This position requires regular onsite presence to carry out essential responsibilities within the lab environment. The role focuses on driving lab systems engineering, developing solutions that enhance lab quality, compliance, and throughput.
The engineer monitors and maintains records for lab equipment including maintenance, servicing, calibration, rework, and testing activities. Responsibilities also include creating test plans for new product features and recommending improvements that enable automated scripting for testing and archiving results.
The role involves executing lab activities such as engineering analysis, instrumentation work, data analysis, and reporting of results. The engineer investigates reported bugs, identifies root causes, and helps resolve issues that may affect product quality or user experience.
Additional responsibilities include preparing project plans and cost estimates based on requirements, evaluating risks and benefits, and supporting procurement of equipment and lab materials. The position also contributes to the development of lab infrastructure and ensures readiness through proper bench setup and equipment availability.
The engineer works closely with teams such as IT, security, and facilities to maintain efficient lab operations. The role also supports the design, development, and implementation of new processes, ideas, and systems to improve lab capabilities and meet program deliverables.
