New Product Introduction Engineer
Job Summary
This role focuses on developing cost-effective and high-quality manufacturing solutions by applying foundational engineering principles and concepts. The position supports cross-functional activities related to component, supplier, and product qualification while conducting testing and troubleshooting activities.
The engineer works with internal and external stakeholders to support product development, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality manufacturing solutions across the product lifecycle.
- Drive cross-functional schedules and activities for component, supplier, and product qualifications.
- Perform testing and troubleshooting for defective products, sub-assemblies, and process steps based on established testing plans.
- Validate testing parameters and summarize test outcomes.
- Implement product or process changes to reduce defects, improve quality, and lower operational costs.
- Support design improvements and documentation with R&D, engineering, and operations teams.
- Build understanding of relationships with internal and outsourced partners for product development and manufacturing.
- Contribute to projects through research, data analysis, and regular status updates.
- Support priority projects and maintain communication with stakeholders through standardized reporting.
- Complete required product training and recommend additional training opportunities to enhance professional skills.
Education & Experience
Four-year degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Typically 0-2 years of experience in product design and development or a related field.
