Overview
Job Summary
This position supports financial management by analyzing, reporting, and reconciling financial and operational results. The role investigates variances against plans and provides insights and recommendations to stakeholders. It also contributes to budgeting and forecasting activities while ensuring compliance with reporting standards and internal policies.
The analyst participates in priority projects and collaborates with internal teams to maintain strong working relationships while delivering accurate financial insights.
Responsibilities
- Extract and analyze financial data, diagnose key financial drivers, and provide analytical recommendations to stakeholders.
- Perform detailed financial analysis for business units or functions, addressing financial issues and supporting business initiatives.
- Contribute inputs for monthly expense and capital reviews used in budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis with operational insights.
- Interpret financial reports such as forecasts, budgets, income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Develop an understanding of organizational financial processes and gain working knowledge of company operations.
- Assist business teams during financial close by analyzing trends, identifying variances, and supporting development of financial forecasts aligned with business objectives.
- Maintain compliance with corporate policies and reporting standards while ensuring accuracy in internal and external reporting.
- Apply fundamental financial principles and support projects through research and data analysis, providing regular updates on progress and challenges.
- Assist priority initiatives under guidance while sharing information with stakeholders through standardized reporting.
