Overview
Desktop Support Engineer
This position focuses on interacting with customers to improve satisfaction by understanding their needs and delivering standardized services that meet defined quality benchmarks. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing customer equipment in line with industry standards while ensuring consistent service quality.
The engineer analyzes IT issues, maintains service documentation, and provides on-site technical assistance. The role also involves developing job-related skills, following operational guidelines, and completing assigned tasks while maintaining confidentiality of company data.
Responsibilities
- Interact with customers according to established procedures to understand their needs and ensure satisfactory service delivery.
- Perform installation, reinstallation, maintenance, and repair of customer equipment following industry standards and best practices.
- Provide standardized services aligned with defined quality benchmarks.
- Use data from reliable sources to ensure accurate alignment with customer product requirements.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to IT infrastructure including enterprise systems, servers, storage, and networking.
- Maintain departmental documentation related to work orders, software, inventory, and other required records.
- Offer site support for break-fix activities and provide technical guidance to authorized service providers and partners.
- Develop job skills while completing routine assignments in line with company guidelines and confidentiality policies.
- Support the introduction of new processes, assist with departmental operational plans, and share relevant technical information with colleagues and customers.
- Resolve defined problems using established procedures while performing basic technical or administrative tasks under close supervision.
This role generally involves routine assignments where limited judgment is required and work is performed following established instructions and processes.
