Data Analyst
Guidehouse is seeking a Data Analyst to support business teams by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets. The role involves working with multiple data sources, maintaining databases, and generating insights that help guide operational and strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect data from primary and secondary sources while maintaining data systems and databases.
- Identify and interpret trends or patterns within complex datasets.
- Clean data and review computer-generated reports to detect and correct coding or data issues.
- Work with management to align business priorities with data and reporting needs.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and data workflows.
- Use statistical techniques to analyze information and generate actionable insights.
- Collaborate with business units to understand analytical requirements and prioritize requests.
- Create dashboards, charts, and visualizations that support decision-making.
- Present insights through reports and visual presentations.
- Engage with managers across departments to define data requirements for specific analysis projects.
Required Qualifications
- Strong foundation in statistics with hands-on experience using statistical tools such as Excel.
- Ability to gather, structure, analyze, and present large datasets with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Capability to evaluate data critically and translate findings into practical business insights.
- Clear communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, or a related discipline. Prior exposure to data analysis or a similar field is advantageous.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Power Platform tools such as PowerApps and Power Automate for process automation.
- Knowledge of SQL development or ETL processes.
- Experience using Python for automation, data manipulation, and analysis.
