Graduate Software Engineer - Open Source and Linux

Role Overview

We are seeking talented graduates from the 2025 and 2026 batches to join our engineering teams worldwide. You will engage in challenging projects ranging from low-level Linux systems to cloud infrastructure, containers, compilers, and security. Our work spans devices from Raspberry Pi to supercomputers, offering opportunities to contribute to both open source products and commercial systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Shape product roadmaps during biannual global sprints.
• Focus on design and user experience for developer tools and command-line applications.
• Write high-quality, resilient, and performant code for millions of users.
• Master key programming languages and Linux system internals.
• Collaborate with open source communities via code reviews and issue tracking.
• Address customer issues with an understanding of enterprise needs.
• Develop secure software solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Exceptional academic record in high school and university.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, or related STEM discipline with programming coursework.
• Proficiency in at least one of Python, Rust, C/C++, Golang, JavaScript, or Java.
• Experience with Ubuntu or other Linux distributions.
• Strong problem-solving skills, organization, and commitment to results.
• Professional English communication skills.
• Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events.

Preferred Skills

• Upstream open source contributions.
• Experience with Linux distribution packaging (Debian, Fedora, Arch, Nix, etc.).
• Leadership and organizational abilities.
• Presentation and technical writing skills.
• Interest in business and commercial aspects of technology.
