Job Summary
This trainee role focuses on learning manufacturing operations through structured on-the-job training. The position supports day-to-day manufacturing activities while developing the knowledge required to transition into a support-level manufacturing role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in on-the-job training with the objective of moving into a support-level manufacturing position.
- Perform basic to moderately complex manufacturing tasks as instructed during the training program.
- Complete any required testing or certification related to the assigned training area.
- Follow all safety and health guidelines relevant to the role and as directed by the supervisor.
- Adhere to company security policies and internal procedures.
- Carry out additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge Requirements
- Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and internal memos.
- Basic writing ability and capability to interpret visual aids.
- Apply common sense to follow simple one or two step instructions.
- Work with standardized processes where variables are minimal.
- Perform basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Calculate rate, ratio, and percentages and interpret diagrams or graphs.
