About Role:

The Google Software Application Development Apprenticeship is a 12-month learning and development program designed to prepare individuals for an entry-level career in software development. Apprentices will work full-time (~40 hours weekly) and spend 20% of their time in structured training while the rest will be spent working on real projects with Google teams.

This program provides exposure to multiple domains, including coding, development, testing, and project management. Apprentices will develop technical skills across multiple programming languages, learn software testing practices, and understand the end-to-end process of software design and development.

Apprenticeships are not permanent employment opportunities but serve as an important step toward building a meaningful career in technology.

Responsibilities

• Learn and follow coding standards, ensuring compliance with quality measures
• Contribute to the development of software projects including implementation, testing, and integration
• Apply knowledge gained from training to real-world applications
• Collaborate with teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Develop technical and professional skills through hands-on experience and mentorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Google Workspace or similar productivity tools
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and in a team setting
• Adaptability to handle multiple priorities and ambiguous tasks
• Enthusiasm for learning new technologies demonstrated through projects or coursework
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must not have been enrolled in any prior Government Apprenticeship programs
• Aadhaar number must be linked to an active mobile number and a personal email ID (mandatory for registration and verification)
• Apprentices must commit to completing the full 12-month program in hybrid mode (relocation support not provided)
• Candidates may apply for Google full-time roles only in the final three months of the apprenticeship
