Google Bengaluru Hiring UX Design Intern (Summer 2027) | Internship

The YouTube User Experience (UX) team is a multi-disciplinary group of designers, user researchers, content strategists, motion designers, and design technologists. Together, they build experiences used by over two billion monthly viewers and millions of creators worldwide across mobile, web, living room devices, and emerging platforms.

The goal is to make video accessible, engaging, and valuable for everyone, everywhere. Thoughtful design can bridge cultures, amplify voices, and build meaningful digital communities.

As a UX Designer Intern at YouTube, you will tackle complex, real-world product challenges. This is more than mock-up work: you will own design work, contribute to active feature launches, and collaborate directly with cross-functional partners.

You will be embedded within a core product domain, such as Creator Ecosystems, Living Room & TV Platforms, Main App Experience, Shorts, or Learning & Community. A dedicated senior designer will mentor you throughout the program and help you work through design at scale.

Responsibilities

• Define user flows, wireframes, visual specs, and interactive prototypes that address user pain points and strategic product goals.
• Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and UX Researchers to validate concepts, iterate on feedback, and ensure technical feasibility.
• Use and contribute to YouTube's global design system to keep experiences consistent across touchpoints.
• Present design concepts and rationale clearly to team members, stakeholders, and leadership during design reviews.
