Role Overview

This Specialist role in Finance and Accounting (F&A) Accounts Payable covers day-to-day invoice processing and payment support. The work includes process improvement and vendor account management. The role is office-based and runs on a night shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Calculate and post business transactions, process invoices, and verify financial data to maintain accounts payable records.
• Process invoices with and without purchase orders (PO / Non-PO).
• Review invoices and requisitions for payment approval.
• Maintain quality in AP processes and handle non-compliant and non-standard processes within the country.
• Verify extensions and totals on invoices, and calculate and apply discounts where applicable.
• Check vendor files for previous payments, assign voucher numbers, and prepare vouchers listing invoice number, date, vendor address, item description, amount, and coding in line with accounting policies and procedures.
• Identify and implement AP improvements.
• Handle vendor reconciliation, manage the vendor payment cycle, complete GRIR reconciliations, and track vendor advances.
