Overview
Job Summary
The Software Engineer, Golang role is responsible for developing components, features, and feature sets while contributing to shared platforms and solutions. The position involves independent development work along with participation in design discussions across teams.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with system engineers, frontend developers, and software engineers to build scalable software solutions.
- Apply SDLC principles and methodologies such as Lean, Agile, XP, CI, software security, scalability, documentation, refactoring, and testing practices.
- Develop code that meets project standards and delivers the required functionality.
- Evaluate application performance and understand key performance parameters.
- Work with core data structures and algorithms using the selected programming language.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or STEM disciplines including Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics with relevant experience.
Technical Skills
Must Have
- Hands-on experience with Go Lang.
- Understanding of distributed systems concepts.
- Experience with AWS services including EC2, EKS, S3, IAM, Lambda, and ECS.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Java and Python.
- Experience with distributed storage technologies such as Cassandra and Kafka.
- Exposure to distributed processing technologies including Spark, Spark Streaming, and Scala.
- Awareness of Lean, Agile, and XP methodologies.
Additional Expectations
- Experience or training in Agile environments and continuous integration practices.
- Understanding of how technology choices impact the software development lifecycle.
- Ability to estimate development tasks and contribute innovative ideas.
- Capability to adapt to changing requirements and work independently with high-quality deliverables.
- Write efficient and standards-compliant code using the technologies selected for the project.
