Job Summary

To support teams that build great products and drive growth, Flex is looking to add an Analyst - Procurement to its team in Chennai.

What a typical day looks like

• Handle administrative tasks related to purchasing.
• Maintain files, logs and records of invoices, purchase orders and related documents.
• Enter and maintain information in various business systems.
• Help expedite orders and contact vendors to obtain prices and confirm delivery dates.
• Develop and maintain resources for assigned commodity items.
• Prepare standard requests for quotation.
• Coordinate pricing revisions, order cancellations, delivery date changes and discontinued items, review substitutes and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Work directly with suppliers to resolve purchasing, change order and logistics issues.
• Support purchase order negotiation, placement, maintenance and follow-up.
• Review standard reports to spot issues or generate group statistics, and recommend buys or PO delivery adjustments.
• Run computer queries and research to provide component and order information.
• Provide routing instructions, track shipments, and coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders and customs brokers.
• Prepare shipping and customs documentation.
• Support supplier contract negotiation and development.
• Assist with content preparation and take part in strategic supplier reviews.

The experience we are looking for

• Completion of secondary school, vocational training or equivalent, with related experience.
• Typically 0-2 years of related experience.
