Flex Chennai Hiring Analyst Procurement | ₹4 LPA

Job Summary

Flex is a diversified manufacturing partner that helps market-leading brands design, build and deliver innovative products. This Analyst - Procurement role is based in Chennai and supports the teams that build products and drive company growth.

Typical day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Maintaining relationships with suppliers and placing orders for raw materials and purchased parts based on production requirements.
• Receiving and confirming orders, checking purchase orders and modifying them when the production plan changes, using the Shortage List and Open Purchase Order List.
• Tracking shipments and following up on them when needed.
• Running weekly stock checks to avoid overstock, and reviewing the obsolete report to reduce obsolescence risk.
• Corresponding with freight forwarders and warehouses, and arranging transportation when required.
• Handling claims, settling debit and credit issues, and filing and recording necessary documents.
• Checking critical material inventory against the Shortage List and resolving inventory discrepancies with warehouse personnel.
• Protecting purchasing data privacy and ensuring active components are available on time for production needs at the requested price.
• Reviewing requisitions and MRP output, and ordering, rescheduling or cancelling material accordingly.
• Working with vendors on price, availability and delivery schedules, and managing supplier performance against price, delivery and quality expectations.
• Maintaining procurement records, reports and metrics, approving invoices for payment, and monitoring material movement through the production cycle.
• Conducting quarterly supplier reviews.

What We Are Looking For

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is typically required.
• 0 to 2 years of experience.
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint, English language skills, data entry, spreadsheets and ERP software.
• Ability to read and understand instructions, correspondence and memos, and to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages, and to apply basic algebra and geometry.
