Job Description

Applicants should hold a B.Com with solid practical reporting experience of 0 to 2 years. A good grasp of GAAP and accounting principles and procedures is expected, along with the ability to prepare financial statements and related reports, investigate problems and organize projects. Experience with SAP is preferred. You should understand how different activities affect the statutory/GAAP month-end close, and communicate clearly and diplomatically both orally and in writing.

Key Responsibilities

• Working knowledge of ERP or accounting systems such as SAP or Oracle. Experience with procurement and expense-management tools is an advantage.
• Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting.
• Understanding of internal controls, approval matrices, segregation of duties and audit requirements.
• Ability to manage deadlines, payment cut-offs, multiple priorities and high transaction volumes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Practical experience in Accounts Payable, P2P or Finance and Accounting operations is preferred.
• Experience in a shared-services or BPO environment, handling supplier invoices, payments, reconciliations and queries, is an advantage.
