Overview
We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Test Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team and contribute to both manual and automation testing for web and API-based applications. This position is ideal for individuals with a foundational knowledge of software testing principles and a willingness to learn and grow in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business and functional requirements to support test planning activities.
- Perform manual testing including functional, regression, smoke, and sanity tests.
- Create, execute, and maintain test cases while documenting results accurately.
- Assist in developing and executing automation scripts using Karate for API testing and Playwright for UI testing.
- Run automated test suites, review outcomes, and identify issues.
- Log and track defects, ensuring accurate retesting after fixes.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and senior QA engineers to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Enhance testing skills continuously and adapt to emerging QA tools and practices.
Preferred Attributes
- Basic understanding of SDLC, STLC, and core software testing concepts.
- Hands-on exposure to manual testing processes.
- Familiarity with API automation using Karate and UI automation with Playwright or similar tools.
- Knowledge of test case design and defect lifecycle management.
- Awareness of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Basic programming or scripting skills in Java or JavaScript.
- Exposure to version control tools such as Git.
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts and automation pipelines.
