Job Overview
Amazon is seeking talented Device Associates to join its Manual Testing team for cutting-edge applications and products. This role involves black box testing, executing test cases, and ensuring high-quality deliverables within committed deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute prepared test cases for software builds on desktop and mobile platforms for Amazon Assistant products.
- Accurately report bugs and maintain detailed records of findings.
- Follow defined testing procedures and guidelines for new builds/releases.
- Conduct regression and repetitive testing to qualify builds without compromising quality.
- Use software tools such as
adbcommands for daily data capture. - Document results, communicate issues, and escalate failures as needed.
- Raise and resolve test case execution issues through the clarification portal within SLA timelines.
- Read and interpret scripts for troubleshooting basic issues.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, IT, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Windows desktop environment and tools such as Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, and Firefox.
- Experience in QA, testing, helpdesk, IT support, or related technical roles.
- Understanding of QA methodology and tools, with prior QAE role experience.
- Ability to interpret product and technical requirements and collaborate with Product/Technology teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- BE, BTech, BS in Computer Science, MCA, or MSc in IT.
- Familiarity with Windows desktop tools and environments.
- Minimal relevant QA experience or 1–2 years in QA roles.
- Strong grasp of QA methodologies and technical specifications.
