Role Overview
Deutsche Bank’s Quantitative Investment Solutions (QIS) team designs, markets, and implements systematic investment strategies across multiple asset classes. These strategies support various investor goals such as yield generation, enhanced beta exposure, hedging, and market access. The team works with global clients including pension funds, insurance firms, asset managers, and private banks.
You will join the product development group focused on portfolio solutions and commodities. The team operates globally and is known for developing innovative strategies and launching new products that expand the QIS offering.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop systematic investment strategies in portfolio and commodities markets, covering both linear and volatility strategies.
- Create portfolio solutions aligned with specific client requirements.
- Propose new strategy ideas, conduct back testing, and implement solutions while improving existing product implementations.
- Work closely with trading, structuring, index administration, legal, and quantitative research teams to convert concepts into tradeable products.
- Prepare and maintain marketing materials for the product suite and collaborate with sales teams to present portfolio and commodity QIS capabilities.
Your Skills and Experience
- Exposure to quantitative investment strategies on either the buy-side or sell-side is beneficial, particularly involving cross‑asset or commodity products.
- Strong quantitative academic background from a leading business or engineering school.
- Programming capability is required, especially in Python.
- Structured project management approach with the ability to manage several initiatives simultaneously.
- Demonstrated interest in systematic strategies and their application within investment portfolios, along with curiosity about strategies in other asset classes.
