Role Description
Margin and Treasury Operations (MTO) is a group that manages the processing of collateral margin, money markets, and nostro management. The team acts as a first line of defense function focused on reducing Deutsche Bank’s counterparty credit risk across its collateralized derivatives portfolio.
The Money Market Operations team manages activities such as confirmation matching, settlement of trades, and coordination with traders and desks. Daily work includes confirmation matching, following up with counterparties, monitoring settlement system queues (WSS), and end-of-day checks. The India team supports operations across APAC, Europe, and the Americas.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide oversight and governance for Money Market processes that involve high client interaction, financial exposure, and regulatory considerations.
- Support process improvements and reengineering initiatives to align with changing business requirements.
- Perform daily operational tasks accurately and efficiently while safeguarding the bank against financial and regulatory risks.
- Ensure timely handling of daily, weekly, and monthly audit requests and resolution of customer queries within defined benchmarks.
- Complete and confirm all operational activities and escalate unresolved trade queries through the appropriate processing queues.
- Maintain required quality standards and completeness in operational activities.
- Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and key risk indicators (KRIs).
- Participate in global initiatives that are strategic or tactical for the organization.
- Maintain a detailed understanding of settlement and confirmation processes.
- Identify process risks and ensure timely reporting and escalation of critical issues or policy deviations.
- Drive automation and efficiency improvements by challenging existing processes.
- Review work carefully and identify discrepancies or operational issues.
Skills and Experience
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks based on urgency and impact.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities, including presentation skills.
- Capability to solve problems independently while maintaining accountability for results.
- Exposure to areas such as collateral, margin, rates, credit, FX, securities, treasury, or liquidity management.
- Ability to coordinate tasks across multiple teams and business functions.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment.
- Interest in understanding operational workflows and process flows.
- Commitment to servicing internal and external stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
