Job Description
The Institutional Client Group (ICG) Client Analytics role focuses on producing meaningful and actionable analytics to support global Fixed Income sales teams and leadership in driving revenue and profitability. The position involves developing analytical frameworks, creating management information reports, and conducting detailed data driven analysis of the client franchise.
This role brings together client information from different parts of the bank to generate comprehensive, client focused insights. The analyst works closely with sales teams to support client facing activities, although direct revenue generation is not part of the role.
Division Overview
The Investment Bank (IB) integrates Deutsche Bank’s Financing, Capital Markets, Origination and Advisory services along with its Sales and Trading businesses. The division operates globally with key hubs across the US, Europe, and Asia, supported by a strong international network.
Business Area
Fixed Income & Currencies combines a leading institutional sales force with research, trading, and structuring expertise across Foreign Exchange, Rates, Credit, and Emerging Markets. The business supports increasing automation, regulatory requirements, and client demand for transparency and standardized execution.
The Institutional Client Group (ICG) delivers sales and advisory services to institutional clients such as banks, insurance companies, and hedge funds. The Client Analytics team connects strategic planning with execution, working with stakeholders across the business to deliver insights that support commercial decision making.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce, maintain, enhance, and distribute global management information related to the Fixed Income client franchise.
- Implement data quality controls and transform data from multiple sources to enable consistent analytics and data clean up.
- Support initiatives aimed at industrializing analytics and developing strategic platforms.
- Assist management teams with investigations, deep dive analysis, ad hoc reports, and business insights.
- Track progress of key business initiatives using quantitative metrics to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Analyze client and market data, prepare presentation materials, and support sales teams in client interactions.
- Share findings, recommendations, and identified opportunities or risks with sales and management teams.

Qualifications and Skills
- CA or MBA from a premier institution with specialization in finance, economics, business administration, business informatics, or a related field.
- Experience with analytics, reporting, and visualization tools such as Tableau and advanced Excel.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms like Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics is an advantage.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to manage large datasets and databases, along with proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
- Exposure to data exploration or mining tools such as SQL is beneficial.
- Strong background in management information reporting with high data interpretation capability.
