Technical Apprentice
Dell Technologies customers depend on its products and services to drive progress. The Service Delivery team focuses on ensuring technical solutions help clients achieve their priorities and address business challenges. Teams develop a deep understanding of customer goals and ensure that services provided meet expectations.
The group also collaborates with Sales and Global Services teams to support strategic account growth and identify potential opportunities. The Technical Apprentice role is part of the LabOps team in Bangalore and provides hands-on learning through practical work and training.
Responsibilities
As a Technical Apprentice, you will learn specialized technical tasks through structured on-the-job training while supporting departmental activities for a period of 12 months.
- Attend all assigned training programs and learning sessions
- Learn to perform departmental tasks and assist with follow-ups or coordination activities that require minimal troubleshooting
- Install Windows operating systems on standalone servers
- Install operating systems such as Linux, Solaris, HP UNIX, and AIX
- Set up and configure test environments required by engineering teams
- Handle lab requests raised by engineers
- Deploy and create virtual machines within the VMware vCenter environment
Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- B.E. or B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, or an equivalent discipline
- Basic knowledge of software applications including Windows and Microsoft Office
- Exposure to installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Windows operating systems
- Familiarity with Linux environments
- Understanding of TCP/IP troubleshooting concepts
Desirable Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior team members
- Collaboration skills when working within teams
