Software Engineer 1
The Software Engineer I develops secure, scalable, and reliable technology solutions with mentorship support to help advance CME Group in the global marketplace and support customer risk management needs worldwide.
Principal Accountabilities
- Perform coding activities for smaller tasks with limited design responsibilities.
- Carry out unit testing for assigned code and review tests with mentors.
- Demonstrate foundational programming language knowledge and develop application modules and unit tests with guidance.
- Work with basic SQL concepts and introductory database modeling.
- Implement technical designs provided by managers or supervisors.
- Optimize code under supervision and apply feedback received during code reviews.
- Assist with environment build deployments and resolve identified defects or issues.
Skills & Software Requirements
Basic understanding of SQL and elementary database modeling concepts.
