About the Role

The Technology Operations Engineer I is responsible for monitoring all customer-facing environments, including Production, Certification, New Release, and Disaster Recovery, within the Clearing & Trading business units. This role involves timely and efficient escalation according to departmental guidelines, accurate incident reporting to management, and thorough documentation of each incident and request, whether initiated by alerting tools or customer contact (internal or external).

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Learn escalation protocols for various application areas and ECC documentation procedures. Develop proper phone etiquette for receiving calls and escalating issues, and learn to create bridge lines.
  • Understand specific application flows and general functionality. Identify application log locations and perform initial log viewing for errors.
  • Efficiently and appropriately utilize broad notification tools.
  • Learn to use the department's website for process recovery. Become familiar with specific application recovery tools used by TOCC and learn to execute scripts for application recovery. Understand escalation and notification procedures for each application.
  • Perform basic functions within incident management tools.
  • Execute basic procedures for recycling monitoring agents.
  • Utilize monitoring tools to detect errors, under the guidance of the Manager TOCC.
